The Noncash Contributions Statement is available free below to download, customize and print...
The Noncash Church Contributions are accepted in the church. This statement/form is very important and should certainly be included in your church financial forms.
One of the most effective ways to give to the Lord is to give to a church or ministry something of appreciated value (an asset that was bought at a low price that is now worth much more).
What is a noncash church contribution? Any type of item or service that is not cash that is given as a donation to an organization or church. These items could be anything from church pews, church van, building or professional services.
There are many things that you can give missionary's ministry aside from cash such as a computer, office equipment, office supplies, literature and books, tools, building supplies and even automobiles. Just make sure if you are considering making a noncash donation that you are confident that the ministry and/or church need these items. Another great idea is to see if your church can give you a list of needed items for ministries, etc.
There are many different IRS regulations and rules for these type of donations so be sure and research the IRS site to make sure you are keeping up to date on the latest regs.
A written receipt should be issued for all noncash. Usually, your
church or organization is not responsible for establishing the value of the
noncash items and should not include any value on the receipt.
However, a new tax law adopted in 2004 requires extra documentation from your organization for donations of qualified vehicles (including automobiles, boats, and airplanes).
The rules are pretty detailed. If you need the exact instructions, you can research it on the IRS site.
All receipts should be numbered for accounting and control purposes.
