Church Secretary plays a key role in welcoming new visitors and other
members coming to church and making them feel like they are a part of
the body of Christ.
There are two different secretary resumes (samples) and a cover letter (sample) below is available for anyone looking for a Church Secretary job.
The Church Secretary has many tasks such as making the job of the church leaders easier by offering organizational and administrative support while doing and undertaking several tasks at the same time to ensure smooth running of the church.
The Church Secretary is a virtual jack-of-all-trades, responsible for a variety of tasks and responsibilities to help support the Pastor and other various positions in the church.
The Church Secretary is usually the contact between church members and staff, and many times they are responsible for the distribution of the information to the church and the community as a whole.
Many times the Church Secretary is responsible for greeting and directing the church visitors to the appropriate church staff members when necessary. Also, she/he might have to book appointments with the Pastor or other church officers and/or take messages from church members or visitors in need of counseling services or other specific needs. There are many more responsibilities that goes on and on depending on your church.
There are many sample resumes on the web, but it is sometimes hard to find a Church Secretary Sample Resume. This secretary resume sample includes:
- Your Name, Address and Phone
- Objective - Seeking the position of a Church Secretary
- Skills - Work with interruptions, good people skills, works well with others and comfortable with the church's mission confidentiality needs
- Computer Skills - Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access. Publisher
- Experience - Other church's you have experience will be listed here along with the responsibilities and duties you were responsible for.
- Education - Here is where you will list any education you have received up until the current time.
- References - A list of names and phone numbers, preferably at least 3, of people who knows your past experience and can give a good or great report for you. You can attach this list with your resume or simply state "Available Upon Request".
