There are two obituary templates available free to download, modify and print for your next funeral, memorial, church administrative office, etc. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at your convenience.
The sample obituaries below are great to have for your church for their funeral events. One of the templates are bifold and the other one is two on one page to download, customize and print and cut out for the friends and family at the funeral.
The Funeral or Memorial Service is normally held in church, cemetery, chapel or the funeral home. The Pastor normally encourages you to consider the church. Their church is familiar, designed for worship, and is rich with the symbols of their faith.
As Christians we believe that God in Christ has conquered death. Death brings separation and decisions that are very painful but our Christian faith enables us to witness to our faith as we make final arrangements for our loved ones. The church offers a ministry of love, hope, concern and compassion to all who grieve.
What is the difference between a funeral and a memorial service?
Simply put: the body of the deceased is at a funeral service whereas the deceased remains (ashes where they were cremated) or no remains are at a memorial service.
Both of the templates below can be modified to fit a funeral or a memorial very easily. The bifold template includes:
- In Loving Memory
- Picture - You can insert a picture of the deceased by simply clicking on the sample picture which is in MS Word where you can insert the picture you need off of your computer by simply clicking "Insert" on top ribbon bar; click "Pictures"; click "Pictures" one more time then find the picture you need in your browser.
- Name of Deceased, Date of Birth and Date Deceased
- Name of Place where Funeral or Memorial is held, address
- Date of Funeral or Memorial
- Deceased and Family Information - [Deceased Full Name], age [Age of Deceased] of [City, State of Deceased Home] passed away on [Date Deceased Died]. [First Name of Deceased] was born in [City, State] on [DOB] to [Father and Mother’s Name]. He attended [Name of School].[First Name of Deceased] worked as a [Occupation] and enjoyed participating in [Hobbies]. [First Name of Deceased] is survived by his/her children [Names of Children], his/her brothers [Names of Brothers], his/her sisters [Names of Sisters and was predeceased by his/her [Names of Immediate Family that is Deceased].
- Funeral or Memorial Service Location, Date and Time
