On July 4th each year, Americans celebrate their freedom and independence with events such as church outings, special church services, barbeques, picnics, and family and church family gatherings.
This is a very special holiday to Thank God that we still have our freedom today to worship God and live in this wonderful country of the United States of America. Happy Birthday America! :)
July 4th Ideas
Does your church offer a great viewing of fireworks on the 4th of July? If yes, post an outdoor sign inviting neighbors to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the fireworks there at your church. As church members serve desserts, watermelon, water and sodas they can visit with the guests and invite them to church and give them a brochure with church service times, dates, and most importantly a phone number for any questions. This is a great way to invite people to your church and enjoy the fireworks and fellowship at the same time.
On the Sunday or the church service closest to the 4th of July, begin with a formal presentation of the American and Christian flags complete with a drum cadence entry. Have a uniformed military service person or community leader that will lead the pledge and/or a prayer in honor of the July 4th holiday.
