Benevolence Church Policy & Forms
The Benevolence Church Policy and Procedure samples are available free below to download, customize and print along with Benevolence Request and Disbursement Forms for your church administrative office, Human Resources Dept., etc.
There are two benevolence sample policies below for your church to use as a guide to create their own church benevolence policies.
The policy and procedures such as the Benevolence Fund for the church is established according to the church bylaws and constitution with the purpose of meeting church members or people's basic needs.
The Benevolence Fund has no budget for either income or expenses. This fund consists entirely of designated giving, and it's expenses consist of the funds distributed at the direction of the Benevolence Fund Committee.
The benevolence policy and procedure is created in an effort to protect the pastoral staff from the consequences of making financial decisions regarding benevolence. The policy should include specifically who is responsible for the distributing and collecting for the Benevolence Fund.
Churches often receive requests for Church Financial Assistance and it's difficulty to assess the honesty of each request. To help with making the decisions a little easier, church leaders can develop criteria through policy and procedures for people who may receive assistance and determining how the Benevolence Fund will be distributed.
The Benevolence Request Form is available free to download and print for your church and/or organization by clicking link above. This form can be utilized by your organization and/or church when a member has a hardship or emergency and asks for financial help from the church.
The Benevolence Process is on page 2 of the form above that clarifies to the applicant (member in need) the process in which the church takes to get the applicant's request authorized and approved. This clarified process goes into detail so that the applicant should not have any questions until the process has been completed.
