Contents-At-A-GlanceUsing Forms for Church Budget Preparation Using Forms for Church Budget PreparationUsing forms for your Church Budget preparation is very important for accuracy and organization and in turn will save your church staff who are preparing the budget their precious time. One of the first things the church should do before preparing and planning the Church Budget is to pray for God's leadership as your group starts this process for the coming year. You should define the work your ministry group will contribute to the church mission statement. Develop strategies that will enable your organization to meet the needs and objectives of their mission. The forms I will be discussing here are available below to use for free along with instructions.To accomplish the Church Budget with these goals in mind you will need forms to begin the process. You can start out with a Budget Workshop form that asks questions on the Vision Statement such as "What is the purpose of your organization in light of the church's mission?"
This form will go on to address your objectives, action plans to help you with objectives, budget request (by action plan), deadine for the return of the budget requests along with the Planning Group's Name and the Chairperson's Name working on the Church Budget.
The last form would be the Proposed Budget Form which includes: Organization, Original Request, Negotiated Request, and Final Allocation. While working on the Church Budget it will be necessary to keep track of the changes to the budgets of various organizations. This form provides a simple and easy method of listing changes to various budget requests.
Once the Church Budget is approved and the new fiscal year begins, it is imperative that accurate and precise bookkeeping be performed to provide quick feedback to the financial or stewardship functions of the church.
There is a two page Budget Request Form below that is to be completed by departmental and ministry leaders on an annual basis to request funding on the Church Budget. This form would need to be filled out and turned in to the church office no later than November 22nd each year to give ample time to include in these Church Budget workshops. There are lots of forms to use including some more below that will help ensure a healthy Church Budget for your church.
