Letters is one of my least favorite things to do as a Church Secretary. Give me a form to make and I'm happy, but ask me to write a letter and I get the writer's block (Ugh!). Mother’s Day gifts are all about making our mothers feel good inside and out, and making it her special day! All of the gifts below are great, but if you have no money just a simple homemade card and a “I Love You Mom” will melt her heart. Here are the top ten Mother’s Day gifts:
- 1. Massage & Spa Treatment - Giving your mom a massage and spa treatment is number one because nothing could fulfill the goal more than making her feel relaxed and pampered. Just find the nearest massage and spa near you and purchase the gift card now. This is a gift that she will not forget!
- 2. Perfume - Some moms wear perfume all the time and some just wear it on special occasions. Regardless, she will love a bottle of her favorite perfume as a gift on Mother’s Day.
- 3. Greenery - Moms have the instinct of caring for living things such as greenery even long after you leave home. Find some beautiful greenery at your nearest department store that your mom will love.
- 4. Chocolate or Sweet Treats - Unless your mom is in the minority, she will love and appreciate a sweet treat such as chocolate. If you’re looking to really impress her you could send an edible arrangement of her favorite fruit dipped in chocolate. This could be an arrangement of chocolate covered strawberries with pineapples, etc.
- 5. Home Décor - Home décor accessories such as a beautiful homemade throw or picture frame. These ideas are endless and moms love them because they distinguish and freshen up the sanctuary that is her home.
- 6. Home Spa Treatment - While celebrating her special day and her accomplishments as a mother reflecting on time passed she would enjoy a gift of home spa products so she can treat herself to a relaxing day at home while marveling at all she has accomplished. Her day at home pampering will also give her skin a more youthful look as a reminder of your loving, thoughtful gift.
- 7. Gift Basket - Your mom will love a gift basket packed with her favorite gourmet foods and useful tools to help with cooking these foods to make them a real pleasurable and classy gift. You could also have these favorite foods already prepared for her in the gift basket arrangement as an added way to show you care.
- 8. Gift Card - This gift is only recommended for the moms that spend a majority of their time spending money on shopping for others and not herself. Receiving a gift card from her favorite shop can often break down their selflessness for a change to give them the treat of shopping for themselves. Put this gift card in a well-written loving card with your personal words added and make her day!
- 9. Candles - Most moms and/or women love candles for their flattering and soothing light, and mind-clearing aromas. I would state that you could probably never go wrong by adding to your mom’s candle collection. You can also enjoy the sweet smelling aroma when your home.
- 10. Flowers - I’m sure flowers was the first thought for a gift that popped into your head from the beginning, and yes they make a great Mother’s Day gift. Some moms prefer you to not waste money on something that will eventually waste away, but it’s the thought that counts. Don’t go for the cheapest bouquet of flowers because believe me women know their flowers. Go for the a very special loving arrangement of her favorite flowers and place them in her home where everyone can see and enjoy them as a surprise for her on Mother’s Day.
Always remember to add a special Mother’s Day card with your personal, loving and thoughtful words included to make this the best Mother’s Day ever for your mom.
